Our workshops are designed to help you imagine new projects and build new connections. Interested in running a workshop or want to suggest a topic? Let us know here.
The workshop for folks just starting to crochet, or looking for a new hobby to keep their hands busy -- and create something beautiful. Mimi Stockland will take participants through a hands-on workshop to learn the basics of the craft while they work toward their first ever crochet project.
Hooks and thread will be provided, but we encourage anyone with their own supplies (or early-stage projects!) to bring them along with them.

LET'S BUILD A DECK!
Saturday, May 4 | 2-3:30PM
Dream big and lay some plans just as the winter weather wanes. In this workshop, participants will work together to build a deck at the Tool Library to learn hands on the details, options, and skills required to make summer 2019 the best one yet.
This workshop is part one of a four-part series on the basics of home renovation. Workshop passes can be bought individually or purchased as a four-class pass for a $20 overall discount.
See that sunshine? This workshop is for anyone itching to explore the possibilities of bringing more color to their outdoor space. We'll cover the essentials like: understanding NL's zoning for plants; the difference between annuals and perennials; choosing soil, fertilizers, and location; and the difference between buying a plant and growing from seed.
Participants will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty if they wish, and everyone will leave with a gift from our partners at Gaze Seed.
Saturday, May 11 @ 2-3:30 PM
151 Empire Avenue (the entrance is on Bonaventure Ave).
Please note that unless otherwise noted, workshops are transferable and non-refundable. To transfer to another person, simply let us know who will be attending in your place. To transfer the value of your workshop to a future workshop, please let us know which upcoming workshop you are interested in.
