Raising Backyard Homestead Animals

Learn how to raise your own backyard homestead animals! Lisa and Steve will be bringing a goat and will teach you about about hoof trims and goat personalities. You'll also get introduced to Earle the turkey while chatting about raising turkeys, ducks, and chickens. On top of all that, Lisa will also be talking about keeping rabbits for meat, and tanning and processing rabbit skins.
This workshop is kid-friendly but kids must be accompanied by an adult registrant. Please also keep in mind that Lisa and Steve will be discussing raising animals for meat.

Soapstone Carving

Spend the afternoon with Inuk artist, Angus Andersen as he guides you through the craft of soapstone carving. Then, put your new skills to practice and carve your very own soapstone pendant, figurine, or other small carving.
