The St. John’s Tool Library aims for 1000 tool donations

PRESS RELEASE

The St. John’s Tool Library aims for 1000 tool donations

The St. John’s Tool Library continues to grow in membership and community participation. Our members are doing projects in their homes, gardens, and in their community. Our tools are also heavily used by community gardens, non-profit organizations, artists, charities and small businesses.

As we grow, we are in need of more tools to serve our members. This Saturday, June 22, 10:30 am to 1:00 pm we are holding a tool donation drive at the Tool Library (at 151 Empire Ave).

Donating tools not only helps our community thrive, become more resilient, and save money; it also keeps tools in use instead of sitting in storage, and it helps our environment by keeping trash out of the landfill and reduces the number of tools being manufactured which helps the planet even more.

Our goal is to collect 1000 tools!

Do you have some tools to offer? Either drop them off at the Library, send us a note (stjohnstoollibrary@gmail.com), or call us (754-8665) and our volunteers will be happy to come pick them up on June 22.

As a thank you, each donor receives a $20 voucher for use towards a tool library membership, a workshop, or merchandise and our many thanks!
